An out-of-control 24-wheeler truck plunged down Cape Town’s busy Kloof Nek Road on Tuesday morning, smashing into cars before overturning next to an apartment building.

Former Miss SA Cindy Nell-Roberts was among those injured in the accident, and she was hospitalised along with five others.

The truck smashed into three cars and a delivery scooter. Two more vehicles were damaged in the incident.
