The drama started as the story of the naive Macarena Ferreiro (Maggie Civantos). After falling in love with her boss, Macarena was manipulated into committing a slew of tax related crimes.

Vis a Vis: El Oasis follows Macarena as she teams up with her long-time rival and queen of the prison Zulema (Najwa Nimri).
