The statement is in reaction to the attempted arrest of
Yahaya Bello and the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC,
subsequently declaring him wanted for offences relating to economic and
financial crimes.
Bello is wanted in connection with an alleged case of money
laundering to the tune of N80.2 billion.
EFCC had earlier informed a Federal High Court, Abuja, of
the possibility of engaging the Nigerian Army in effecting the arrest of Bello
if it considered it an option.
